Trent Valley Sailing Club celebrated a significant milestone in 2013 with the opening of its brand-new boat shed. This modern facility, constructed thanks to a generous £50,000 grant from the Places People Play initiative, replaced the Club’s previous boat shed, a repurposed WWII-era Quonset hut.
Designed to complement the existing clubhouse, the new boat shed features sleek charcoal-coloured shiplap panelling that seamlessly blends with the surrounding architectural style. This visually appealing structure provides a safe and secure storage space for the Club’s fleet of boats, ensuring their protection and accessibility for members.
The construction of the new boat shed marked a significant investment in the Club’s future, enhancing its facilities and providing a more conducive environment for sailing activities.
