Minimum age: None (although under 16s may prefer to learn through our Friday Night Sailing and Junior Sailing Camp)
Course content: How to sail in all directions, including an awareness of launching and recovering

RYA Dinghy Level 2: Basic Skills to be an independent competent light wind sailor
Assumed knowledge: Sailing skills to the standard of Level 1
Minimum duration: 2 days (or equivalent sessions)

Course content: Rigging, launching, sailing in all directions. Capsize recovery and essential safety knowledge
Ability after course: Able to sail and make decisions in good conditions

RYA Powerboat Level 1: An introduction to boating techniques for launching and recovering a boat from a road trailer, everyday boat handling and the use of safety equipment.
Assumed knowledge: None
Minimum duration: 1 day
Minimum age: 16
Course content: Launch and recovery. Preparation of boat and crew, boat handling, picking up and securing to a mooring buoy, leaving and coming alongside, being towed.
Ability after the course: Able to drive under supervision
